Reports ran rife on Friday night suggesting that Red Bull driver Max Verstappen fainted and collapsed after FP2, due to the high temperatures and humidity on day one of the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang.
According to team consultant Helmut Marko, Max got out of his car, maybe too fast, felt a little dizzy and he had to sit down on a chair.”
“After a couple of minutes, he felt normal again, recovered and everything was fine,” added the Austrian.
Temperatures were extremely high during the course of the day, with high humidity forcing drivers to cool down with ice packs in between stints out on track.
