The Barcelona circuit has announced that the final day of next week's first pre-season Formula 1 test will be devoted to wet weather running, unless it rains before that.
In a bid to help teams better understand the characteristics of the wider 2017 rain tyres, F1 tyre supplier Pirelli wants to devote one day of pre-season running to wet running.
Barcelona has now said that the day chosen will be March 2, the final day of the opening test that starts on February 27.
The plan will only change if any of the previous three days are hit by rain, although current forecasts do not indicate that will happen.
The Barcelona circuit posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday showing it practising wetting the circuit to ensure it is well prepared for when the F1 teams arrive next week.
Previous attempts at simulated wet days have hit trouble because circuits found it difficult to soak the track with consistent water levels.
