Williams are easily the best pitstop crew in Formula 1 this year and if there were a world title for such a role they would be 2016 pitstop world champions.

In the 19 grand prix races held so far this season, the Williams crew have been fastest on no fewer than 14 occasions, dispatching Felipe Massa or Valterri Bottas with fresh rubber faster than their rivals.

Mercedes have been fastest in three races thus far, and have been third or fourth fastest 14 times, but the world champions are well down on Williams in the unofficial standings.

Red Bull have been quickest in two races, with the Ferrari crew fastest once, while McLaren, Force India and Renault have yet to record the fastest pitstop during a race day. However they have been among the top five, collectively, on several occasions.

Toro Rosso, Sauber, Haas and Manor crews have yet to accomplish a pitstop that would rank them in the top five in any of the 19 races thus far.

Below is a table based on an analysis of pitstops this season carried out by Auto Motor und Sport.

Points awarded: three points for fastest pitstop time in a race; two points for second or third best pitstop time and a single point for fourth or fifth best pitstop time.
