FIA race director Charlie Whiting will join Formula 1 drivers in Thursday's Brazilian Grand Prix press conference, to discuss the controversial finish to the Mexico City race.
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull pair Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were the key players as they contested third place, which eventually went Ricciardo's way after penalties were applied.
Vettel was livid that Verstappen failed to relinquish third after cutting the track at Turn 1, delivering an expletive-laden radio message and slamming Whiting.
Verstappen was later handed a five-second penalty, and labelled Vettel's behaviour "ridiculous".
That penalty promoted Vettel to third, but he later also lost that place for moving under braking while trying to keep Ricciardo at bay.
Vettel avoided further sanction for his radio tirade after sending apology letters to Whiting and FIA president Jean Todt.
Whiting will join Vettel, both Red Bull drivers, Mercedes F1 title contenders Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, and the retiring Felipe Massa, for the press conference at Interlagos on Thursday afternoon.
A statement from the FIA said Whiting will attend the "latter part" of the press conference to talk about the Mexican GP, and "be present to address this topic ONLY in order to avoid questions are not in line with the facts in discussion."
