During the build-up to the Hungarian Grand Prix Red Bull boss Christian Horner grabbed headlines when he told media that he believed that Sebastian Vettel would move to Mercedes in 2018 after losing patience with Ferrari.
Horner said of the driver he managed for several years, “I know from personal experience that Sebastian has to work peacefully in order to give his maximum, and I’m not sure if he likes the pressure from [Ferrari President] Sergio Marchionne.”
Vettel’s reaction to the claim was tongue in cheek and he said with a smile, “It’s interesting to see how everyone always knows more than you.”
“We know we’re not where we want to be, but we will continue to work hard because I know that we’re going in the right direction,” added the man who won four world titles with Red Bull.
