In the aftermath of a weekend in Hungary, where his Mercedes teammate dominated, Nico Rosberg bounced back in the best way possible by topping the timing sheets at the end of the first free practice session of the German Grand Prix weekend.
Rosberg’s best lap time of 1:15.517 was three tenths of a second up on championship leader Lewis Hamilton, as once again the Silver Arrows pair dominated proceedings early on while their rivals chased.
Best of the rest were the Ferrari pair of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen, third and fourth respectively albeit a second down on the top time.
