Formula 1’s flying Finns topped the timing sheets at the end of the third and final free practice session of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, as Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas ending the one hour session quickest followed by Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.

Bottas’ best lap time of 1:42.742 was a mere 0..95 of a second up on Raikkonen’s best, and four tenths on his teammate Lewis Hamilton who ended the session third.

Half a second off the top time was Daniel Ricciardo who ended fourth fastest in the Red Bull while teammate Max Verstappen, who dominated on day one, had a problem packed session and was only good for the sixth best time before stopping on track with a problem.

“Everything just switched off,” the teenage Dutchman said over the radio.

Force India’s Esteban Ocon split the Red Bull duo with the fifth best time, while Sergio Perez’s best time was good for tenth – half a second adrift of his teammate.

Veteran Felipe Massa was seventh fastest with his rookie teammate Lawrence Stroll ninth on the timing screens when the session ended.

Daniil Kvyat continued to get the better of his Toro Rosso teammate Carlos Sainz, the Russian ending the session eighth quickest and the Spaniard down in 13th.
