Ross Brawn: Never say never

Despite being away from Formula 1 on a lengthy ‘fishing trip’ Ross Brawn still remains one of the most respected engineers in the sport and although he admits that he has not received any worthwhile offers, he refuses to rule out a return to the sport in the future.

When asked by Sky Sport’s Martin Brundle if a return to F1 was a closed door, Brawn replied, “Never say never about any of those sort of things, but I’m quite content doing what I’m doing and nothing has come along that I would be motivated and interested in.”

“My nature when I was involved was 24/7 and I’m not sure I want a 24/7 anymore,” said the 61 year old.

Brawn was the driving force in Formula 1 world title winning campaigns with Benetton, Ferrari and his own Brawn GP team, while setting down the foundation of the current era (all conquering) Mercedes team.
