Lewis Hamilton scored his fifth victory in Montreal when he claimed victory at the Canadian Grand Prix, dedicating the victory to the late Muhammad Ali.

“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. That’s for Muhammad Ali,” said Hamilton on the team radio on his slow down lap.

He also took a large chunk of points out of Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg’s championship points lead as the German endured several incidents which resulted in him finishing fifth.

Sebastian Vettel was second in the Ferrari. He took the lead early on in the race and appeared to have good pace, but once again dubious strategy calls may have impacted their race. Kimi Raikkonen was sixth.

Valtteri Bottas was third in the Williams, ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen in fourth with Daniel Ricciardo sixth.
